As Managing Director, Bill oversees JLL's lease and debt restructuring, and bankruptcy advisory services to assist retailers across the U.S. He provides strategic guidance to retailers in their disposition of surplus space, and support client demands for reducing real estate occupancy costs.
Bill specializes in crisis management, corporate financial planning, and the restructure of leases and debt, working with CEOs and CFOs of large retail, restaurant and other chains. He joined JLL as part of the firm's acquisition of HMS, a recognized leader in lease and debt restructuring. The firm restructured nearly $12B in lease and debt liabilities for its clients.
A former Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of an NYSE-traded company, Bill knows both the financial and real estate sides of the business. Prior to joining the HMS Chicago office, Bill negotiated the restructure or termination of leases and corporate loans as a senior executive in the restaurant industry.
