James de Winter

James de Winter has over 30 years of commercial real estate brokerage experience, working in both U.S. and international markets.

Mr. de Winter provides transaction brokerage and advisory services to commercial tenants and property owners, regional and international firms, in both single and multi-market assignments throughout the Caribbean region.

Before joining JLL, in 1996 Mr. de Winter founded a real estate brokerage firm specializing in the Caribbean markets. Having traveled to the region for more than 16 years —witnessing the growth and importance of tourism, its economic impact and the increasing opportunity for commercial businesses and development— he recognized the need for a firm that could represent international companies seeking expansion or investment in the Caribbean, as well as companies and property owners with existing interests in the region. The company became a leading commercial real estate firm working exclusively in the Caribbean and the only one that covered the entire region.

He remains highly regarded as an entrepreneurial businessman and an expert in Caribbean real estate consultancy and brokerage.
