Nicholas Kanich is a Senior Vice President with JLL Capital Markets, Net Lease (formerly Net Lease Property Group). As a net lease expert, he executes the sale, purchase, and recapitalization of net lease retail, industrial, and office properties throughout the United States.
As part of a national team, the offering includes core services: net lease disposition & acquisition advisory, 1031 exchange transactions, sale-leasebacks, portfolio analysis, valuation analysis, market and demographic evaluation, build-to-suit and capital markets consultation.
Mr. Kanich has over eleven years of commercial real estate experience, both in business development and new origination, but also in JV and capital partner facilitation. He has purchased and sold over $1B of commercial property for Pension Fund Advisors, REITS, Developers, Family Offices, Private High Net Worth Individuals, and 1031 Exchange & Foreign Investors.
Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle in 2018, Mr. Kanich was a Director of Capital Markets with Cushman & Wakefield from 2012-2017. While at C&W, he was a producer and was instrumental in facilitating both net leased, shopping center and high street sales with a combined value of over $1B, including the sale of 669 N Michigan Avenue at $295m. Nick began his career with Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services, where he assisted clients in the acquisition and disposition of urban mixed-use properties in the Chicago area and single tenant and multi-tenant investments throughout the Midwest.
Education and Affiliations
Mr. Kanich earned his degree at Indiana University's Kelley School of Business with double majors in Real Estate Finance and Entrepreneurship. He currently sits on the Advisory Board for the Real Estate Center at IU, is the Chicago Chair for the IU Real Estate Alumni Network, is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), former ICSC Next Generation Board Member, and active member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI).
